NS205 - Nursing Care of Adults III 3 Credit(s)
Prerequisite: Current LPN, MICT, or RRT license and admission in the Associate Degree Nursing Program.
The course explores advanced intravenous therapy and health alterations in the adult client with an emphasis on homeostasis, neurovascular, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and integumentary in the adult client. The major concepts of the ADN program; patient-centered care, professionalism and leadership, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, informatics, safety and quality improvements, and communication, will be incorporated throughout the course. Clinical experiences in a variety of settings will enable you to apply theoretical knowledge and provide safe and effective client care; laboratory compoents are included. (lab fee required)
