ED277 - Children’s Literature

This course analyzes different genres within children’s literature including folk tales, multicultural literature, poetry, historical fiction, contemporary realistic fiction and non-fiction. Students will explore illustration styles found in picture books, learn how to choose literature for a classroom library and gain knowledge about children’s book awards. In-class reading and reading projects along with library usage are included.
