NS220 - Maternal Child Nursing II 3 Credit(s)
Prerequisite: NS 215 Leadership, Roles, and Issues II with a “C” or better.
This course explores health alterations of obstetrical, newborn, and pediatric clients. The major concepts of the ADN program; patient-centered care, professionalism and leadership, teamwork and collaboration, evidence-based practice, informatics, safety and quality improvements, and communication, will be incorporated throughout the course. Clinical experiences in a variety of settings will enable you to apply theoretical knowledge and provide safe and effective client care; laboratory compoents are included. (lab fee required)
